After reaching compromise with his parents, who insisted that Dale pursue a career in Comedy despite him dreaming of becoming an accountant. He entered the Comedy circuit in September 2007. In a short period He has quickly established himself as someone to watch out for. Making his debut at the popular Cool-runnings in Melville. He was received with raptures of laughter, something very uncommon on your first time. He has subsequently performed at many venues around South Africa. Although the Audiences are extremely varied their responses are the same. . . . .Laughter!
Within his first 7 months of comedy he performed at his first theatre show, the Tshwane comedy festival. A remarkable achievement with less than 8 months under his belt. And two months later at the Soweto comedy festival. On both occasions he held the crowd in stitches for his entire set, despite being the only white comedian on both nights, One aptly entitled, Black Comedy night. A fact he made sure the audience was aware of and laughed about.
Not restricted to a single genre there are clear elements of dry, impersonation, observational and occasionally dark.
At the beginning of 2010 Dale performed at three venues in the U.K. over a ten day period and proved he is equally adept abroad. On his return it was evident that London and Londoners alike had touched him!
